Welcome to Waterside Academy!

As the Headteacher, I am delighted to introduce you to our school. Waterside Academy is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. Our mission is to re-engage these students by addressing their emotional and behavioural barriers to learning, helping them to either reintegrate into mainstream education or transition to more specialised provisions.

Our experienced and compassionate team is committed to delivering a personalised curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. At Key Stage 4, we offer core subjects and PE up to GCSE level, as well as various qualifications in other foundation subjects. Additionally, our students have the opportunity to gain further qualifications through Alternative Provision and participate in weekly work experience placements in Year 11.

At Waterside Academy, we pride ourselves on creating a safe and caring environment where students feel valued and supported. With the help of various professionals and support services, we strive to meet the individual needs of each pupil, preparing them for the next stage of their educational journey and beyond.
