Wellbeing - Anna Freud SCESS Programme
Anna Freud is a leading mental health charity and their SCESS programme is being utilised to support our students, parents, carers, families and school staff with their mental health and to make positive choices. Their offer is detailed below:
Young Person Support Offers
During the 6-8 sessions with a practitioner, young people have a space to voice how they are feeling and learn strategies to look after their own mental health. We work with young people to identify key goals they would like to achieve to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. We use a CBT-informed, guided self-help model to empower young people to explore what works for them. Please find our posters attached.
School/College staff can refer young people aged 11-15 via a school's portal. Please call the school to discuss support for your child.
Young people aged 16-25 can self-refer here.
Single Session Consultation 16-25
Sometimes just one session of support is needed to help a young person work through a particular worry such as exam stress, friendship troubles or a period of change. This solutions-focused session empowers young people to put in place strategies to support their wellbeing and mental health. Please find our posters attached.
Young people aged 16-25 can self-refer here.
Young People Webinars
We have a wide range of videos for young people to watch as and when they need them. The topics focus on key areas of mental health and wellbeing, and many have a focus on increasing self-awareness and expressing emotion. We have attached a guide to this email, which can also be found in the resource section of your portal: please download and share these resources with young people, and their parents and carers.
